Description:
The food pantry provides once per month food baskets for low-income and unemployed households living within Spirit Lake boundaries and enrolled members living in surrounding towns/areas off the Reservations. The amount of food given is based on household size and what is available at the time of pick-up. The staff handles emergency referrals on an individual basis and will accept any emergency referral from all Tribal/County programs working with low-income and unemployed households. Any household that has employed individuals must bring a copy of the check stubs to verify eligibility. Eligibility is based on gross wages and household size.

Community Options, Inc provides personalized services to people with disabilities to realize hopes and dreams by promoting self direction and personal growth through opportunity, choice and relationships within their community. REFERRALS are made through the Department of Human Services: Developmental Disabilites, Mental Health and Vocational Rehabilitation divisions, County Social Services or private pay. Services: INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTED LIVING ARRANGEMENTS provide living supports to a person living independently from a few hours to 24 hrs per day. IN-HOME SERVICES provide homemaker, personal care, respite services and non-medical transportation. CASE AIDE SERVICES provide in-home and community services, household management, socialization and community involvement. SLA SERVICES provide 2 hours per week to coordinate services or provide direct support to persons living in their own homes. FAMILY SUPPORT offers flexible services designed to support the family and the care of the child with a disability. We welcome your expertise. EMPLOYMENT SERVICES provide intensive one-on-one support with finding and maintaining employment. DAY SUPPORTS is a community based Day Service where each person designs a personalized program based on their specific interests and desired outcomes.

Companions for Children

Companions for Children is a non-profit mentoring program that serves children, ages 6 to 16, living in single-parent households. Youth within a 15-mile radius of Minot are able to take part in the program. Once enrolled, they are matched as soon as possible, take part in social and recreational programs throughout the year, and are given a free YMCA card. Adult mentors must be 18 years of age. Cultural Diversity Resources is a regional diversity initiative serving Cass County, North Dakota and Clay County, MN. Our mission is to build communities that value diversity. Our programs include an integrated Life Work Skills development program that prepares low-income and or ethnic individuals to improve their socio-economic status in the community. This includes computer literacy training, work force development, personal financial literacy and preparing for and obtaining further education. CDR also serves as a referral resource for food assistance, rental assistance, and discounted bus passes in the Fargo-Moorhead metro area, ethnic leadership development, mutual assistance agency consultation and technical assistance. CDR also provides customized diversity training for businesses, government entities, public and private schools, as well as, service organizations throughout North Dakota and Minnesota.

Cystic Fibrosis Association ND

Services listed are available to persons who become members of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota (CFA) and were originally diagnosed with cystic fibrosis or are treated for cystic fibrosis within the State of North Dakota. CFA provides financial assistance in the acquisition of necessary therapeutic equipment for persons with cystic fibrosis, as well as the maintenance and repair of that equipment, financial assistance with the cost necessary medications, educational and support group meetings to provide educational and emotional support for families, a newsletter, post-secondary scholarship grants and interest-free loans to individuals with cystic fibrosis and assistance with costs associated with lung transplantation and follow-up care.
