The mission of the Bismarck ALC is to offer a variety of educational opportunities for learners in transition by assessing needs and abilities and providing individualized instruction to meet those needs. The program is funded by the Department of Public Instruction and sponsored by Bismarck Public Schools. GED prep classes, English as a Second Language, Career planning, and Support groups for displaced homemakers are free to all students. The Bismarck ALC also houses the Bismarck GED Testing Center which provides GED testing. The cost per GED test is $25 and is paid in advance to testing.
